Järbo Llama Silk

Try this delightful yarn from Järbo, it's as soft as cashmere.

A lot of knitters have probably already discovered the soft alpaca wool, but now it's time to bring another family member to the surface and put a bit more focus on that one.

With a fibre that is at least as soft as fine alpaca wool, the Bolivian lama definitely deserves your attention.

It's called the Andes cashmere for a reason.

For almost two decades, the reseller has worked on developing a process that separates the fine, thin undercoat from the thick guard hair.

The result became one of the finest fibres in the world.

Studies show that the lama fibres are both softer and better isolated than alpaca.

In Llama Silk the baby lama wool is mixed with mulberry silk, which results in an incredibly wonderful, soft yarn, that is great to work with.

In addition, it's both warming for you and nice for the environment.
