Mercerised Cotton

Mercerised cotton is cotton that has been treated to achieve extra shine, strength and colour fastness. The treatment makes the fibres smoother and more uniform, resulting in an elegant appearance and very even stitch definition. The yarn is durable, shape-retaining and suitable for projects where both appearance and durability matter – such as summer garments, tops, dresses, accessories and home items like bags, placemats and tablecloths.
