I have always been impatient, and craftwork was the worst subject I had at school. I don't think anyone in their wildest imagination could ever think I'd ever start knitting. But then health failed. And what makes an extremely impatient person having to sit still for much of the day? Yes, you knit! When I received a request from House of Yarn to create a catalog of baby knitwear based on old recipes from Dale Garn and I could do it at my own pace, I didn't spend much time deciding. I love to knit! Baby clothes is what I like best to keep up with, and I enjoy myself looking at different booklets and knit books. I never get tired of choosing yarns and colors, thinking out new combinations, and knitting the garment. As soon as it's finished, it's not long before I feel like throwing myself
over a new one. The catalog project started with the fact that I went through a huge treasure trove of old recipes from Dale Garn. I picked out the ones I liked best before I started the job of adapting them, finding yarn, and knitting the garments. Most of the garments in this catalog I have knitted myself, but I have also received help from my good neighbor, Karen Elise, my good mother Ragnhild and my little sister Bente. We have used my Dale Garn favorites LILLE LERKE, LERKE, BABY WOOL and PURE ECO WOOL.

I hope you find something you want to create in this catalog and that it helps you experience the magic of a knitting project. Everything in from finding colors and yarn to thinking of the recipient and knitting in some extra love in the masks. But also to calm down everyday life, and find that knitting is actually a form of relaxation and therapy.
